I know I’ve told you in person but I just wanted to write to you to again let you know how very much our West Chester Area Senior Center appreciates you and your entire team at Schorn Construction.
From our very first meeting we had several years ago, it was immediately evident that you and your team enthusiastically jump into a project prepared to give it your all. We truly appreciate your team’s timely communication and commitment to doing a job right from start to finish…. but we also see how much you all genuinely care about the quality of your company’s work each and every day.
As a hometown nonprofit, we were always keenly aware that we weren’t nearly the biggest project your company was working on at any given time, but it says a whole lot about the Schorn Construction team and your leadership that each of our center’s projects was treated with the utmost care, commitment, and high quality as your other jobs we know were far, far bigger.
It was great to learn your entire team’s names while they worked here – but what a pleasant surprise it was when they learned our senior center staff team’s names too! That level of caring doesn’t come easy these days.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention to you 3 distinct things that have happened in the years following our first project your company completed for our senior center. First was my bumping into a member of your team in town and him greeting me by name with a big smile and asking how our project was working for us and if we were still as happy with it as the day you all had finished (that was an easy YES!). Second, was another member of your team stopping by our center to drop off some materials for a much more recent job you did and his asking me if everything from our first project was working as expected or if we needed anything. But third, and perhaps most memorable, was another one of your team members calling me a few months after the first project was finished to ask if he could volunteer at our senior center in his time away from work. WOW. What a great thing to know our respective organizations’ missions met on our common ground of serving our hometown community in the best way possible!
Please pass along our thanks and appreciation to your whole team, Ian.
Keep doing what you all do best!
